MacUser magazine has always been one of the more respected design and Apple publications on the newsstand. Now doubly so since MagDesigner has contributed a whopping 16 page article about how to use the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite.
Although written when the tools were still in their pre-release phase, the article can still serve as a good starting point for those wanting to gain knowledge in the field.
The issue you are after is Volume 27 Issue 9. If you can't find it on the shelves, you can get it through back issues or through Zinio. Failing that Pirate Bay normally has PDFs (but I didn't tell you that, alright?!)
If you already have an iPad, I can thoroughly recomend downloading this App for step by step instructions on how to use the Adobe tools. Well written and easy to follow, it's one of the best guides out there.
If it's training your company requires, than MagDesigner can help with that also, with beginner classes starting with a one day crash course. Email for more info.
iPad magazines are more accessible than ever, so get cracking and lets give Apple enough reason to finally set up an iMagazine store, or at the very least a magazine category on iTunes.
